Whee…how are ya? Oh my goodness another rinky dinky episode. Boy they sure slide down easy don’t they? Hot Rock N Roll yeah yeah!! Here we go again with more crazy, insane, nuttiness…with cute little olives! Goody good good!!

So with Riot Fest in Chicago this week I had to play some classics to get y’all in the mood. Naked Raygun, Butthole Surfers, Murder City Devils, and Screeching Weasel. The shows are gonna be fun for this old fart.

Lights Out! (Germany) play real, snot-nosed punk rock. No whininess. No melodic choruses. No shit. 14 short, fast, middle-fingers in 20 minutes or so! Their debut Destroy Create (Yo-Yo Records) is a blast of furious energy. I played the longest song on it so you could enjoy ‘em that much longer. Live fast die hard!

Mayyors (Sacramento, CA) is throat hammering noise rock while operating a lawnmower. Deads e.p. is a limited (500 copies) 4 song 12” with a mud (or something) textured paper sleeve. For you vinyl freaks. On Hurling Man.

Heroine Sheiks is noise rock made up of ex-members of the lengendary COWS. They have a few releases, “Journey…” being their last. Literally. I just read they have split up since this record. Bummer. On AmRep…What you say?…yes indeedy I did…Amphetamine Reptile. Remember them? Awwww maaaaan!! You know it!!!

Sabertooth Zombie (Cali) definitely have one of the coolest names I’ve heard in a while. These guys mix Sabbath-style riffs, fast paced punk bursts, 80s crossover hardcore, with Motorhead-esque ROCK’N’ROLL!! Chug-a-chug!

Veracrush is catchy stoner rock from Italy. The first thing I thought of when I heard it was old, early Queens of the Stone Age. I think you’ll agree. 11.11 (Go Down Records).
